Nestled inside a 1920s heritage building in the heart of Canberra, this award-winning restaurant continues to serve up excellence in a very relaxed environment, just a three minute walk from the city centre. The open air Mint Garden Courtyard and timber outdoor deck is beautifully refurbished with a main dining room to make Sage the perfect venue for a function of up to 200 people. Sage has a number of private dining options for relaxed outdoor dining events on those balmy summer nights. Sage can cater for weddings, cocktail parties and corporate functions in the beautifully manicured gardens of Gorman House.
Their constantly evolving menu, described as 'whimsical pieces of art', is as much a feast for the eyes as the palate. Chef Clement Chauvin heads the kitchen team bringing his culinary skills from Lyon, the French 2 Michelin starred restaurants Pic and Nicolas La Bec and Gordon Ramsey’s flagship restaurant Claridges in London.
Award-winning achievements include the Australian Hotel Association’s Hospitality Awards 2011 Winner for Best Prestigious Restaurant, 2011 Winner for Best Restaurant Cookery Employee: Clement Chauvin and 2011 Nominee for Best Local: Mint Garden Bar, plus two awards from Restaurant and Catering - Best ACT Restaurant and Best ACT European Restaurant of the Year 2011.
