Hyde Park Barracks Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on Macquarie Street in Sydney’s CBD, and is ideal for medium to large business events.
The venue features a number of unique spaces. The barracks courtyard is the ideal space to create your own private haven in the centre of the city. A marquee accommodating up to 350 guests for a banquet, or 1200 guests for a cocktail party, can be erected on the southern side of the courtyard, leaving ample space for guests to explore one of the world’s most important cultural heritage places.
Greenway Gallery is located on the ground floor of the museum and was originally a room housing 70 convicts in hammocks. Now an exhibition area, it has been carefully and stylishly converted to create a wonderful gallery and event space, with the floor featuring an illustrated historic map of Sydney.
Located in the original 1819 convict bakehouse and store, the Bakehouse specialises in house-made baked goods, delicious sweet treats, tasty pot pies and delectable damper burgers, served alongside a selection of craft beers and an eclectic mix of cocktails. The Bakehouse is available for exclusive hire.
